Recovery
Sober since October 23, 2021.
This is the part of the site I almost didn't build. It's also the part that matters most. If you're here for yourself, or for someone you love — welcome.

The story
It wasn't a moment. It was a decision I had to make every day after.
Sober since
10.23.2021
One day, then another, then another.
Before
The years I don't romanticize
Lost time, lost relationships, a body running on fumes. The version of me that thought I had it under control.
Oct 23, 2021
Day one
The day everything I was protecting finally cost more than getting honest would.
Year one
Reps over feelings
Rebuilding the basics. Sleep. Food. Movement. Showing up to one meeting, then another.
Year two
Service
Started talking about it out loud. Started training other people in recovery. Started writing.
Year four
Now
Sober, strong, working in mental health — and trying to be useful to the next person.
"Recovery isn't a side quest from the rest of my life. It's the operating system underneath everything else I do."
@soberevan
On Instagram, unfiltered.
I share what whole-person health actually looks like day-to-day: the gym, the food, the recovery, the wins, and the days that just suck. No highlight reel.

One-on-one work for people in or seeking sobriety.
What it is
Confidential, weekly coaching that combines lived experience, practical recovery tools, and the same whole-person performance framework I use with every client. Not therapy. Not a meeting. Something else.
What makes me qualified
Four years sober. NASM-certified. Years of working in mental health enablement. And a hard rule: I only coach what I've lived.

Speaking at recovery events
If you're organizing — let's talk.
I speak at recovery conferences, treatment center events, and community gatherings — sharing what worked, what didn't, and what the science says about performance after addiction.
